Yes -Yes- Yes- Yes- Yes.
I could never understand Tony Blairs move to "legitimise" the Gaddafi Regime, although I suppose it must have had some hidden merit.
However, you guys may have forgotten the fate of Constable Yvonne Fletcher of the Metropolitan Police, and maybe even Lockerbie, - but this guy certainly has not.

well it's 8 days on from the above posting, but the UN has within the past hour voted for a No Fly Zone - and even more.
Bye Bye Gaddafi - Bye Bye.
It should have happened thirty years ago - so it should. |

Well it took a bit of time, but at long last he has gone.
Better late than never I suppose.
However we should all perhaps note there are many more other than just DSD who should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves - many many more, both in the UK, in the USA and even Australia.
The hypocrits who jump up and down, decrying terrorism and abuse of human rights, whilst simultaneously, behind the scenes, giving it the wink and the nod if there is oil involved, or any scope for profit at all.
B.P. you deserve to be next on the list for under the microscope scrutiny.
Just shamefull - no more and no less.
Compared with Gaddafi , Saddam was a saint, in my view. |

That's it bss - double standards all round - corporate greed, corporate immorality, aided and abetted far far too often by government policies.
I note "Western Leaders" (NATO, - I presume) have welcomed the death of Gaddafi - as indeed some of them did with Saddam.
Why then, do they host an International Criminal Court which deals with those who have partaken in & sanctioned the most grossly obscene acts of brutality, violations of human rights, genocide etc., on a scale not seen since Hitlers Reich. Events which our generation was convinced, beyond any shadow of doubt, could not possibly happen again - BUT THEY DID and what is more THEY WERE ALLOWED TO.
In hosting, that International Criminal Court, the same guys who welcome the death of Gaddafi, do at the same time, ensure that the perpetrators of horrendous acts of genocide cannot receive the death penalty.
It seems to me there is a major conflict of principle - in that one.
Double Standards perhaps, or in reality, just a case of absolutely no principles at all ? |
