What questions are you likely to be asked on buoyage ?

There are 3 basic type of buoyage question that we have come across during our research

1 - A buoy is placed infront of the candidate and you are asked what it is which region its shape topmark and light

2 - a buoyed channel is laided out (either using models or paper) and you are asked to drive a ship through the channel

3 - You are told you are on a heading and you see this buoy in front of you what is it and what action do you take ? this is normally reserved for cardinal marks to see if you understand the idea of where the safe water is.
